MATERIALISING FRONTIERS

The goal of this conference is to explore the idea of frontiers and borders across the world to discuss the complexity of material culture from ca. AD 1450 to 1800. It aims at bringing material culture to the forefront of frontier and border studies to better approach subalternity, slavery, migration, colonialism, resistance, in-between people and things, and indigenous knowledge/practices.
